Who told you that’s how it should happen?
There is a frustration that comes with reaching the age you thought you would already be married, have children, feel settled and have life figured out.
You look at your life and think, This is not how I pictured it.
But who gave you that picture?
Did God tell you that you would be married by 25? Did He tell you children would come by a certain age? Did He tell you what your life would look like by now?
Or did you build that timeline from what you saw around you, what society celebrates, what your family expected, what your friends are doing and what your own body is beginning to desire?
Sometimes we are grieving a promise God never made.
Because if I never asked God about that part of my life, why am I holding Him accountable to an expectation He never gave me?
Before planning around it, ask the Lord about it.
